(Day 1 of the Opening of Physics LKMMTD 2019 in Room C03.03.01)

On 21 and 22 December 2019 from 06.30 West Indonesia Time to 4.30 West Indonesia Time the Basic Student Management Management Skills (LKMM-TD) Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Surabaya State University, carried the theme “Improving Integrity and Professionalism in Organizations”. The Physics Department’s LKMM-TD activity is a leadership training held annually by a student association of physics Unesa. The purpose of this activity is to recruit new cadres who succeed in the management of physics student organizations and provide organizational discourse, and leadership to physics students. This activity can train students’ leadership spirit so that they can become potential leaders who can lead the Indonesian nation in a better direction.

On the first day of this activity, precisely on Saturday 21 December, 2019 registration began at 06.30 WIB and the event opened at 07.30 WIB. The opening of LKMMTD this morning was held in building C3.03.01 attended by several lecturers and attended by all participants. This activity was attended by around 110 participants from the physics department and 10 non-physics participants. The opening of LKMMTD ended around 08.00 WIB, followed by Secretarial and Financial Administration materials delivered by secretaries and treasurers of student associations majoring in physics Unesa. At 08:45 WIB participants were divided into three different classes. The first class is in building C3.03.01; the second class is in building C3.03.02; and the third class is in building C3.03.04. After doing the moving class and entering their respective rooms, participants followed the next material. Starting from the material Analysis of Environmental Conditions; Initial Ideas; Benchmarks of Success; Work Schedule Planning; Organizing Activities or Committees; and concludes with the material of Communication and Introduction to the Proposal. Activities on this Saturday ended around 16:30 WIB.

Not always the material delivered, occasionally the guide also does ice breaking to make the atmosphere fun again. In each material provided the participants were not only focused on listening to the guide, but also interacted with each other. Express their opinions, ask something they want to know, and some discussion about an issue. And each time participants submit their opinions, they will get an emoticon which is a reward. The emoticons will be accumulated at the end of the event.

On the following day, Sunday, December 22, 2019 registration began at 06.30 West Indonesia Time and the event began with the material on Organizational Leadership and the Nature of Motivation delivered by Kahima and Wakahima, a student association of physics majors in building C3.03.01. Then the participants return to the moving class to their respective rooms as on the first day. At 08.45 West Indonesian Time, the Lobbying material was resumed; Sponsorship; Decision-making; Conflict Control; and finally the proposal presentation by each group. Around 16:00 IWST, all participants returned to building C3.03.01 for closure. The closing as well as giving a reward to the three most active participants and the three best groups. Before leaving C3.03.01 building, several participants appeared to have their pictures taken first. This two-day event went well and cheerfully.
